AI Safeguards Faith: MICROIP and MaideaX Partner to Pioneer Taiwan's "Smart Religion" Era MOU Signed to Enable AI-Powered Perceptual Safety and Immersive Blessing Experiences

News Release
2025-10-16

MICROIP (7796), a leading provider of ASIC chip design and AI software solutions, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MaideaX, the specialist in digital transformation for religious organizations, to launch the Taiwan Smart Religion Project. This initiative will integrate MICROIP's CAPS AI software platform with MaideaX's Lifemap cloud-based services. The collaboration aims to infuse traditional religious practices with AI technology, achieving three key transformations: enhanced safety, immersive interactive experiences, and sustainable development, thereby creating a new future for Taiwan's religious spaces.

The partnership will focus on developing new devices with intelligent perception and immersive interaction, introducing pilot concepts such as the "Purification Pavilion" and "Blessing Wall." This AI-driven, always-on protection system will not only provide proactive risk alerts on-site but also transform devotees' prayers into dynamic light and sound experiences, fostering emotional connections and transforming traditional rituals into spiritual dialogues. This initiative enhances both safety and the cultural warmth and appeal of religious sites.

Chairman Dr. James Yang of MICROIP stated, "The power of AI should not be limited to improving industrial efficiency; it should extend to safeguarding cultural and social values. This MOU is our commitment to the philosophy of 'technology empowering humanity.' We hope to apply AI in warmer fields, allowing intelligence and faith to coexist, making AI an extension of societal goodwill."

Michael Wu, Founder and CEO of MaideaX, added, "The integration of technology and faith aims to preserve, rather than replace, tradition. The Lifemap platform, combined with MICROIP's AI technology, transforms religion into a social hub encompassing blessings, public welfare, education, and sustainability, balancing 'technological efficiency' with 'cultural emotion,' and building a smart religious ecosystem."

James Yang emphasized that MICROIP has been promoting AI cross-domain applications in recent years, from industrial, medical, and AI robotics to cultural sustainability. The CAPS AI software platform can be rapidly deployed across these fields. Entering the religious domain marks an important step for AI applications toward "the shared societal good," aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on "Sustainable Cities and Communities."

The Taiwan Smart Religion Project will initially pilot in key temples across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, gradually expanding nationwide. Through real-time AI monitoring and data analysis, it will enhance safety and management efficiency, while providing precise solutions for environmental monitoring and cultural preservation. Both parties will collaboratively establish a sustainable digital management framework to assist religious organizations in serving their communities in a smarter and more sustainable manner.

Chairman Dr. James Yang of MICROIP concluded, "The fusion of technology and faith is a significant step toward empathy and sustainability in human civilization. This is not just a collaboration between two companies; it is the beginning of returning AI to human-centered values and serving society."
