MICROIP Partners with US AI Chip Pioneer BrainChip to Target the Global Edge AI Market Introducing Neuromorphic AI Chip Technology to Deploy Ultra-Low Power AI Solutions
MICROIP, a company dedicated to AI software and ASIC design services, announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with BrainChip Inc., a leading US-based provider of ultra-low power neuromorphic AI semiconductor intellectual property (IP). The two parties will integrate BrainChip's neural processing unit (NPU) IP with MICROIP's system-level hardware and software design capabilities to jointly accelerate the deployment of highly intelligent, energy-efficient Edge AI solutions for Taiwan and the global market.
At the COMPUTEX exhibition, MICROIP officially showcases the fruits of its strategic partnership with BrainChip, a leading US-based provider of ultra-low power neuromorphic AI semiconductor IP, as both parties join forces to target the global Edge AI market.
As AI applications rapidly transition from the cloud to the edge, market demand for low-power, high-computing customized chips and modules is surging. This partnership will perfectly combine BrainChip’s advanced neuromorphic NPU technology, featuring sub-one-watt ultra-low power characteristics, with its machine learning toolchain. Concurrently, it will leverage MICROIP’s profound expertise in system-level architecture integration, hardware module design validation, and software stacks to jointly provide customers with complete, production-ready Edge AI module solutions.
Regarding this strategic partnership, Dr. James Yang, Chairman of MICROIP, stated, "In the process of deploying Edge AI, power constraints and the 'process fragmentation' of hardware-software integration are the biggest pain points currently facing the industry. BrainChip's proprietary neuromorphic architecture demonstrates outstanding advantages in ultra-low power inference. Through this strategic collaboration, MICROIP not only expands its Edge AI ecosystem but also seamlessly integrates BrainChip's top-tier NPU technology into our system-level design and AI software platforms. This perfectly aligns with our 'software-driven hardware' strategic layout and will significantly shorten customers' time-to-market from proof-of-concept (PoC) to end-product commercialization, injecting strong growth momentum into high-growth markets such as smart automotive, security surveillance, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)."

MICROIP and BrainChip announce a strategic partnership to deeply integrate BrainChip's advanced neural processing unit (NPU) IP with MICROIP's system-level hardware and software design capabilities, jointly accelerating the deployment of ultra-low power AI solutions.
The collaboration between the two parties will target Edge AI application areas with tremendous potential, including acoustic and voice processing, vision computing, radar and LiDAR sensing, remote sensing technology, cybersecurity, anomaly detection and classification, as well as noise suppression and signal enhancement for ultra-low power edge inference systems. Regarding the technical division of labor, BrainChip will provide AI model guidance, access to proprietary model assets, and toolchain enablement support via its MetaTF development flow, while MICROIP will provide AI SoC integration design to achieve flawless hardware-software integration.
Steven Brightfield, Chief Marketing Officer of BrainChip, noted: "We are thrilled to welcome MICROIP to BrainChip's growing AI ecosystem. By combining BrainChip’s Akida-enabled ultra-low power technology with MICROIP’s robust hardware design and software stack capabilities, we will provide customers in Taiwan and globally with a highly streamlined and validated path to address the most demanding Edge AI project challenges."
In the future, both parties will continue to deepen their technical cooperation and jointly promote the implementation of ultra-low power Edge AI solutions through global industry exhibitions, technical forums, and customer project validations. Through this partnership, MICROIP will also further expand its international ecosystem layout, strengthening its competitive advantages in AI software design services, ASIC design services, and the Edge AI application market.
